In order to protect the privacy of our customers, staff and our business as required under the Privacy Act and to comply with the Surveillance Devices Act, please note that:

• Dashcams will be disabled when a motor vehicle is submitted for any type of service.
• Recordings taken inside JHG premises may involve private activities or conversations.
• JHG and its employees, officers or agents and other customers do not consent to being recorded by an optical or audio surveillance device at any time inside the business premises.

In Western Australia it is a criminal offence under section 5 (1) and 6 (1) of the Surveillance Devices Act 1998 (WA). to make a audio recording of a private conversation or a visual recording of a private activity.

“Private activity” means any activity carried on in circumstances that may reasonably be taken to indicate that any of the parties to the activity desires it to be observed only by themselves, but does not include an activity carried on in any circumstances in which the parties to the activity ought reasonably to expect that the activity may be observed;
