A new seating concept
One of the great strengths in the Multivan is the folding and easily removable individual seats in the rear, which now make it even easier to create different seating arrangements in just a few simple steps. With space for up to seven seats, the rear five seats, which are up to 25 per cent lighter, can be moved and removed to suit. With the optional 7 seater vice-versa package, the second row can be moved 180-degrees to create a conference style seating configuration. The full-width bench seat for the third row has been replaced by individual seats to allow single seats to be removed for complete flexibility.
The roof becomes the sky
Take advantage of the first two-part panoramic sunroof that has ever been installed in a Multivan. The panoramic sunroof offers amazing views, floods the interior with light, and creates an even greater sense of spaciousness. At the same time, a special “LowE” coating reduces heat radiation – and brings the typical Multivan premium comfort to a new level.
Comfort becomes first class
The Multivan has never been so smart, connected and comfortable. The free-floating dash panel with digital display landscape has a clear and high-class look. The leather-covered multifunction steering wheel with paddles, Digital Cockpit and infotainment system with 25.4-cm touch display are already on board as standard.
Uniting aesthetics and safety
The new IQ.Light LED matrix headlights with LED daytime running lights aren’t just for looks – they're also very intelligent. The IQ.Light detects oncoming traffic and can selectively switch off individual light beams so as not to dazzle oncoming vehicles. Thanks to innovative camera and radar systems, the dynamic cornering light illuminates the bend even before you turn.
Motion becomes dynamism
It has never been so easy to step into the world of Volkswagen. The new Multivan is not only more compact than its predecessor; it also behaves like a family car in terms of handling and driving comfort. As well as the short wheelbase model (4.98 m), a long wheelbase version (5.18 m) is also available. Both versions have a vehicle height of only around 1.90 m – with the same interior height. And with the new optional panoramic sunroof, the new Multivan is even around 2 cm higher on the inside. This means that the new Multivan also plays to its strengths in the city – and can be easily manoeuvred through the urban hustle and bustle.
Hand becomes foot
Each new Multivan is equipped with two electric sliding doors as standard. Getting in and out of the vehicle is also easier than ever before. In combination with the optional “Keyless Advanced” keyless locking and starting system, the doors unlock automatically as soon as you are nearby. And the optional Easy Open function even allows you to open and close the sliding doors and the rear tailgate using gesture control. You can leave your hands in your pockets. A short kick with your foot under the sensor is enough to open or close the doors.
Space-saving miracle becomes organisational talent
Another convenience highlight in the interior: the numerous stowage areas. Whether in the cab, at the doors, under the seats or on the folded multifunction table: the new Multivan offers enough space to stow items such as tablets, toys, blankets, drinks bottles and coffee cups safely and tidily.
Centre console becomes the centre point
The new Multivan stands for even more freedom – which can also be enjoyed with the multifunction table in the interior. Not only the position but also the shape of the newly developed table can be varied. This is because it can be folded over the rails, pushed all the way between the front seats and used as a centre console, with stowage areas and drink holders.
Interior becomes free space
One of the great new strengths of the new Multivan are the foldable and easily removable individual seats in the passenger compartment. It is even easier to set up different seating arrangements.
